The programme will feature dedicated sessions in which scientists conducting research at Istanbul Medipol University’s SABİTA—as well as investigators from other universities who collaborate with SABİTA—present the latest findings they have generated over the past year. These exchanges will enable participants to share knowledge and experience, refine the direction of forthcoming studies, and forge new research partnerships.

PURPOSE OF THE RETREAT
We aim to empower individuals to achieve their personal and professional.
The scientific training program envisioned in this project will be hosted by the Institute of Health Sciences and Technologies (SABİTA) at Istanbul Medipol University—one of Türkiye’s leading research centers.
The event is designed to:
Sharpen core research skills for scientists actively engaged in ongoing projects.
Promote a culture of collaboration by bringing together diverse research groups.
Increase interdisciplinary exchange that drives translational breakthroughs.
Strengthen strategic management practices across scientific research ecosystems.
Our overarching goal is to help participants think strategically about every stage of the research cycle, cultivate sustainable and resilient research environments, and accelerate cross-disciplinary innovation. Alongside scientific content, the program delivers hands-on sessions in research management, team dynamics, leadership, psychological resilience, and laboratory operations.
SCOPE
The retreat’s second edition is scheduled for 24–27 July 2025 and will centre on the theme “ Research Retreat 2025 – Reconnect, Reflect, Recharge ” A total of 30 participants will be invited to take part.
